All About Chords:

Hey there! We’re Chordially Yours, an all-female a cappella group at Boston University, founded in 2000 by Beth Heald (’03). What do we do? We sing, we sway, we aca-bop, and we jam out to songs from a range of genres. We pride ourselves on our group sound, as well as our original arrangements and beat-boxing skills. We've taken part (and placed) in a number of competitions and events, including the Faneuil Hall A Cappella Fest, the ICCAs (Pitch Perfect anyone?), WGBH's Sing That Thing!, a performance in Downtown Disney, and even opened for Lena Dunham at the Boston stop of her Not That Kind of Girl book tour!

We released our latest album, L-L-Ladies in 2016, available for purchase along with A Minor Setback! Our previous albums include:

  • A Minor Setback
  • Chordz Bop
  • 99 Problems But A Pitch Ain’t One
  • Acapocalypse
  • CandY
  • League of Our Own

Chordially Yours holds three annual concerts: a first and second semester showcase and Battle of the Babes, a charity show we host in Spring. Past beneficiaries include The Ray of Hope Foundation, Cross-Cultural Solutions and Rosie's Place. Aside from these concerts, we have gigs throughout the year for all sorts of occasions. Check out our Events page for upcoming gigs, or visit our Contact Us page to book us for an event!

Where can we be found?

Outside of weekly rehearsals at the College of Fine Arts, we perform all over campus and the city. Destinations include Marsh Plaza, Newbury Street, Faneuil Hall, private event venues, and more.

The Chords have also recently taken our musical repertoire on tour to perform with a capella groups in NYC and to take the stage in Downtown Disney.

We've hosted many groups, and love the chance to collaborate and perform with new voices. This past semester, we were excited to have the Dartmouth Chords perform at our Spring concert.
